Duplex Steel RTJ (Ring Type Joint) Flanges are normally made of chromium (21–23%), nickel (4.5–6.5%), and molybdenum (2.5–3.5%), with a dual-phase microstructure of ferrite and austenite. Such a well-balanced composition makes the flanges highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. They have a tensile strength that varies from 620 to 850 MPa and a yield strength of about 450–550 MPa.
